As a Legal Assistant, Elvia is responsible for comprehensive legal support and administrative responsibilities. She works with attorneys, DOJ-accredited representatives, and other staff who contribute to serving clients who may qualify for a form of immigration relief.
Elvia provides legal assistance in preparing documents, communicating with clients, and helping with translations.
She also assists with forms, statements, cover letters, motions, petitions, and briefs.
She also contributes to outreach and education programs related to immigration law and advocates for the rights of immigrants.
Elvia earned an Associate of Science in Human Services from Metropolitan Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and a Master of Arts in Social Gerontology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Elvia has worked in various capacities in the social services field and is fluent in Spanish.
When not working you can find Elvia crafting and spending time with her family hiking and exploring the great outdoors.
