Monica is a Certified Master Social Worker, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner.
She has experience working with the immigrant community in Nebraska, including providing bilingual (Spanish and English) counseling and social work services to immigrant families, including to unaccompanied children and their families.
She is also an adjunct social work instructor who teaches bilingual MSW classes and serves as a clinical supervisor for students seeking supervision hours for licensure. Monica is the Co-Chair with Omaha Area Sanctuary Network and a Board Member for Eat ‘N Talk Africa.
Monica is passionate about the importance of mental health and social justice, in particular immigrant justice. When not working, you can find Monica outdoors, being with family, reading, and playing with her kids.
